The Northern Regional Hospital, also known as Tamale Central Hospital has been left in a poor condition after some casual workers declared industrial action over five (5) months unpaid salaries.
According to casual workers, they will only return to work unless the government settles their unpaid salaries.
The aggrieved casual workers lamented over inability to meet their basic needs due to the unpaid salaries.
Citinewsrroom.com reported that overflowing bins and a strong stench emanating from washrooms at the Children’s ward, Male ward, Maternity ward and other sections of the hospital raised concerns among the patients and the health workers.
