Social media users have reacted to US Visa appointment slots announced by its Embassy in Ghana.
In a statement the Embassy said more than 1 000 visa appointment slots are available next week for non-immigration.
Reacting to this some social media users on X expressed their disappointment in the Embassy as some say they are tired of their processes.
Some believe that the announcement by the Embassy is a way for them to generate more money from Ghanaians for their businesses.
Other users said they have tried many times but they were disqualified without refund of the visa fees.
Below are some of their reactions
“Revenue has tanked to the point you are advertising slots on social media? We are getting started. Buckle up.”
“Why this advert now ?? Or people aren’t buy the visa fees no more anaa ??”
“You want more visa money to steal from Ghanaians right? Who in their right mind would apply so you reject and keep their money? Like I would pass through Nicaragua which is visa free to Mexico and jump the wall to America. No time.”
“Useless entity I paid a visa appointment in November of 2024 that money disappeared into thin air and I didn’t even get the date or a refund for that money had to pay again for appointment”
“Always denying us visa without a refund so why should we still waste our money? two years ago, the way the interviewer was asking questions too fast it’s like she think I am a robot, before you answer another question bamm. Meanwhile it’s not just yes or no answer.”
“Seems the Embassy LTD is not turning up profit ,so ya all gotta start advertisement lol ,soon Africans will stop travelling to the west and let’s see how those cheap labour will boast ya all economies”
