Ghanaian sound engineer, Fred Kyei Mensah popularly known as Fredyma has lamented over how the previous government neglected him despite his efforts.
The music producer said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) neglected him in their eighth (8) years in office.
According to Fredyma, the NPP never included him in their programmes despite his experience in sound engineering.
He said he travel with the party to support them in their campaigns and other programmes but they failed to recognise him.
Drawing parallels between the leadership of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the current President John Dramani Mahama, Fredyma commended Mr. Mahama for recognised some creatives including Rex Omar.
He stated that he is jealous of what President Mahama has done for his fellow colleagues in the creative industry while he suffered for nothing during the NPP era.
“Sometimes I feel sad because I suffered for eight years but I didn’t get nothing. See what President Mahama has done for Rex Omar and others. I am in the creative industry but the NPP also sidelined me in their activities.” Fredyma lamented.
He expressed hope that if the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia becomes the next president of Ghana he will recognise him.
“Perhaps if Dr. Bawumia becomes the next president he will remember me. They didn’t treat me well.” He added.
Fredyma further stated that the NPP didn’t not only excluded him from their activities, they also failed to consider his rich ideas.
According to him, he had good ideas that could promoted the creative industry but the NPP did not consider them.
