The Apostolic Church-Ghana has banned kissing the bride before the altar during wedding ceremonies.
The decision, according to the church’s Council of Apostles and Prophets form part of efforts to maintain doctrinal standards and enforce reverence during solemn marriage rites.
The directive was approved by the Council of Apostles and Prophets during the 6th General Council Meeting on March 28, 2026, at the TAC Conference Centre in Accra.
Classfmonline.com reported that officiating Ministers during wedding ceremonies are required to comply with the directive.
