Barack Obama has celebrated the late former Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Robert Swan Mueller.
The family of the American Lawyer announcing his death said “With deep sadness, we are sharing the news that Bob passed away”
Reacting to the unfortunate news, the former US President described Bob Mualler as one of the finest directors in the history of the FBI.
“Bob Mueller was one of the finest directors in the history of the FBI, transforming the bureau after 9/11 and saving countless lives. But it was his relentless commitment to the rule of law and his unwavering belief in our bedrock values that made him one of the most respected public servants of our time. Michelle and I send our condolences to Bob’s family, and everyone who knew and admired him” Obama wrote.
Robert Mualler served the FBI from 2001 to 2013.
He is credited with reshaping the FBI into modern counterterrorism.
