After a successful negotiation, former Asante Kotoko SC captain Justice Blay has secured a deal to join Iraqi side Al Kadhimiya Sports.

Justice Blay who completed the move to join Al Kadhimiya Sports through the Iraq Premier Division club after impressing them with his performance signed a one year contract with an option to extend the contract depending on his performance.

The Ghanaian midfielder is looking forward to playing a crucial role for the club during this year’s season to help the Al Kadhimiya reach the top of the league.

Al Kadhimiya FC which has participated in the Iraq Stars League on six previous occasions is currently on the eight position on the league table with 21 points in 16 matches.

The 33-year-old football player who played as a midfielder for Asante Kotoko SC began his football career at Sekondi Hasaacas F.C.

During his first appearance in the Ghana Premier League in 2016, Justice Blay performed exceptionally in all the 14 appearances he made for the 1977 Ghana Premier League title winners and scored 1 goal.

The defensive midfielder is expected to shine and make an impact for Al Kadhimiya FC as he performed for Hasaacas,  Asante Kotoko S.C.

The completion of the signing of the former Kotoko player gives him additional experience and adds more value to his international career.

It would be recalled that Justice Blay received a late call from Ghana Black Stars B coach James Kwesi Appiah in 2017 ahead of the 2018 African Nations Championship qualifier.
