Ghanaian Dancehall artist, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, popularly known as Shatta Wale has reacted to alleged Russian creator who lured Ghanaian women into filmed encounters.

He said it is totally unacceptable and disrespectful for people to say Ghanaian women are cheap.

The self-acclaimed Russian who identifies himself as Yaytseslav has been seen in videos circulating on social media platforms where he records the conversation with several Ghanaian women around Accra Mall.

Reports say some of the women end up meeting him at his apartment while others exchange numbers.

The videos have generated a lot of comments on social media especially X, which some users say Ghanaian women are cheap.

@BIgAfellay, one X user wrote ” So a random Russian guy met Ghanaian women at the mall, and the next day they are in his bed….Chale Ghana women be cheap oo

Reacting to this, Shatta Wale said nobody should say Ghanaian women are cheap.

According to him, it is disrespectful to say that because some men are also doing the same and sometimes worse than what the women seen in the videos are doing when they see white men or a foreigner.

The self-acclaimed Dancehall king described people who are calling Ghanaian women as cheap hypocrites.

“Nobody should say Ghanaian women are cheap ,it’s disrespectful cuz most of you boys here do same or even do worse when you see whitemen/ Foreigners ..Gerrout with your hypocritical talks .. Mcheeww !!!” Shatta Wale said.

Below are some of comments that  follows Shatta Wale’s post:

“A matter like this should be approached carefully. What the Russian man did indeed is a dirty blow to Ghana. On the other side you could see that he did it to many ladies not just one. This raises concerns about Ghana ladies being cheap.”

“There’s a reason I love you and will always do because you stand up for the ordinary people. Thank you”
