The new Acting Head of the late Daddy Lumba’s family Abusuapanyin Kwabena Brefo (a.k.a Mr. James Kennedy Brefo) has directed for discontinuation of the ongoing legal battles between former family head Kofi Owusu, Akosua Serwaa Fosuh & 3 others.
In a letter dated 25th March, 2026 the acting family head directed Lawyers representing the former family head to discontinue the ongoing case of SUIT NO: GJ/0437/2026 entitled Abusua Panin Kofi Owusu vrs Akosua Serwaa Fosuh & 3 others as the said suit does not align with the intentions and objectives of the family.
“I write to inform you that I, Abusuapanyin Kwabena Brefo (a.k.a Mr. James Kennedy Brefo) of the Ekuona Royal Family of Parkoso have been appointed as the acting Head of the Ekuona Royal Family of Parkoso, succeeding Mr. Victor Kofi Owusu Boahene who was customarily removed on three 11th March, 2026” The letter read.
“Pursuant to my responsibilities, I wish to bring to your notice that I am taking over the conduct of all ongoing legal matters pertaining to the family. In this regard, I kindly request that you provide me with a comprehensive inventory of all cases that my predecessor, Mr. Victor Kofi Owusu Boahene instructed you to handle on behalf of the Ekuona Royal Family in his representative capacity.” He said.
“Significantly, I have been instructed by the family to direct that you discontinue the ongoing case of SUIT NO: GJ/0437/2026 entitled Abusua Panin Kofi Owusu vrs Akosua Serwaa Fosuh & 3 others as the said suit does not align with the intentions and objectives of the family” The letter added.
“Accordingly, you are by this letter requested to discontinue the said case which you commenced for the family through its former head, in a representative capacity by the close of day 26th March, 2026.”
