Brazil forward Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, has hinted that the 2026 FIFA World Cup could be his last appearance on football’s biggest stage, as he reflects on the final phase of his illustrious career.

The 33-year-old admitted in recent interviews that he is uncertain about his long-term future with the national team, stressing that he is taking his career one year at a time due to physical demands and recurring injuries.

According to Neymar, the next World Cup presents what could be his final opportunity to achieve his lifelong dream of winning the prestigious tournament with Brazil.

“I know this will be my last World Cup, my last shot, my last chance,” he stated in an earlier interview, expressing determination to give his all for his country.

The Brazilian star, who has been a key figure for the national team for over a decade, also acknowledged the emotional reality of approaching the latter stages of his career.

He noted that while he remains passionate about the game, he is increasingly aware that his time at the top level of international football is gradually coming to an end.

Neymar has been instrumental for Brazil, playing in multiple major tournaments including the FIFA World Cup and the Copa América, where his performances have earned him global recognition as one of the finest players of his generation.

Despite injury setbacks in recent years, he continues to play a vital role for both club and country, with fans hopeful he will be fully fit ahead of the 2026 tournament.

His comments have sparked reactions among football enthusiasts worldwide, many of whom see the upcoming World Cup as a defining moment in his career.

As Brazil prepares for the global competition, expectations remain high that Neymar will lead the team with experience and determination in what could be his final appearance on the world stage.
