The children of the late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba have lamented over negative comments and misinformation people put out there about the family.

According to them, the late highlife legend did nothing wrong against the nation but rather he (Daddy Lumba) contributed immensely to the nations cultural heritage through his highlife music.

In a statement, the children stated that the family of the “Sika Asem” hitmaker deserves more commendation than the ill remarks from some people.

“Our late father did no harm to Ghana. On the contrary, he gave Ghana some of its finest Highlife music and contributed immensely to the nation’s cultural heritage. It is deeply unfair that his family should now be subjected to distress and misinformation.” They said.

“It is painful to witness how some individuals fabricate rumors and spread falsehoods purely for attention, clicks, and social media engagement. These narratives are harmful, divisive, and unhealthy-not only for our family but also for the memory and legacy of our late father.” The aggrieved children added.

They also debunked rumors that there is a conflict between the children and their mother.

The children categorically stated that they are united and love each other.

“We therefore urge the public and all social media users to disregard these rumors and refrain from amplifying negativity. Our family is united. There is no conflict between us and our mother. Any claims to the contrary are deliberately falsehoods.” They clarified.

“We wish to state clearly and unequivocally that our relationship with our mother is strong, loving and respectful.

We speak with her every morning and every evening. The bond we share is one of trust, affection, and unity. The suggestion that we would ever turn against the woman who carried us for months, nurtured us, and continues to guide us is not only absurd but deeply offensive.”
