The Director of Page One Educational Complex, Joseph Prince Soregan, has outlined a new strategic direction for the school as it marks its 10th anniversary, announcing a shift from infrastructure development to human capital investment, alongside new staff reward systems, alumni support initiatives, and international exchange opportunities.

Speaking at the school’s grand durbar held as part of the school’s 10th anniversary celebrations, Mr. Soregan explained that the institution’s first decade was dedicated to building the necessary infrastructure and resources that have shaped the current learning environment.

He noted that the next phase of the school’s development will prioritize the professional growth and welfare of both teaching and non-teaching staff, describing human capital as the cornerstone of the institution’s future progress.

“The first ten years of our existence as an institution were focused on developing our infrastructure and resources; hence, the facilities we currently see in the school. The next phase, which is our next ten-year plan, will focus on building our human capital and development.”

He disclosed that staff members who demonstrate commitment and excellence will be duly recognized, pointing to the awards presented during the 10th anniversary durbar as a reflection of this new direction. During the celebration, some staff were presented with televisions, while others received plots of land and educational scholarships in recognition of their contributions to the school.

He further disclosed that, going forward, the school will annually identify and support a selected teacher to advance academically, as part of efforts to strengthen capacity within its workforce.

“I intend to invest significantly in our staff. Those who deserve to be rewarded will be recognized in a grand style.

“That is why, during the grand durbar for our 10th anniversary, some teaching and non-teaching staff were awarded televisions, while others were given plots of land and educational scholarships.

”Every year within the next ten years, the school will handpick a teacher and support that teacher to advance further in their educational career.”

In addition to staff development, the Director announced the establishment of an alumni support fund aimed at assisting graduates of Page One Educational Complex, particularly brilliant but needy students seeking to pursue higher education.

According to him, the school will contribute not less than GHC 10,000.00 annually into the fund, ensuring its sustainability and accessibility to all alumni of the institution.

”In addition to this, we have established an alumni support fund. Every student who has completed Page One Educational Complex will be a beneficiary of this fund, which is aimed at supporting brilliant but needy students to continue their education in higher institutions.

”Each year, the school will contribute not less than GHC 10,000.00 to this fund, and all graduates of the school will have access to it.”

Joseph Prince Soregan also revealed that plans are underway to introduce exchange programs for both current students and alumni. He indicated that the school is already engaging partners who are prepared to facilitate opportunities for selected learners and graduates to participate in exchange programs outside the country.

”We are also working to establish exchange programs not only for current students but also for our alumni. As we speak, we have partners who are ready to send some of our students and alumni on exchange programs outside the country.”

He said the initiative forms part of the institution’s broader vision to expand opportunities, build capacity, and position its graduates for success in an increasingly competitive global environment.
