Lawyer for Ground Up Chale, Jonathan K. Amable has replied to Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur over allegation that he earns nothing with the label.

The Lawyer in a post provided details of benefits the rapper received from the company.

According to him, Kwesi Arthur has benefited from £91,370.00 in royalty disbursements.

Adding that the rapper solicited and received an amount of USD 118,712.08 directly from Platoon without prior consent, knowledge or involvement.

“I find this concerning as it completely ignores the reconciliation I sent you in May regarding the unauthorized payments made to you by Platoon. Payment which Ground Up Chale had no knowledge of, did not approve, and which has now created a recoupment burden.” The Lawyer said.

“You have benefited from £91,370.00 in royalty disbursements, a detailed breakdown of these disbursements has been previously provided. Despite this amount which has been lawfully allocated to you, you have solicited for and received an amount of USD 118,712.08 directly from Platoon without prior consent, knowledge or involvement” He explained.

“I have provided a detailed accounting breakdown showing an update balance of £84,830 owed to GUC”

“I have followed up with you via email and WhatsApp directly since May. I also communicated with your father to help mediate the situation and arranged a meeting to discuss repayment, which you failed to attend.”

This comes after Kwesi Arthur accused Glen Boateng, founder and CEO of Ground Up Chale, of making excessive demands over his image and music.

He also claimed that he didn’t make anything from any of his music within the period he worked with them,
